Rob Sheridan: Favourite Artist

Rob Sheridan is a graphic designer, director, and art director. He is best known for his work with the band Nine Inch Nails. He began working for their website, and soon after took over as director and as their art director. Sheridan has his own, much distinctive style. A personal favorite is his print "Presents opening children". This particular print which had been described as weird, odd, messed-up, creepy and morbid by many individuals on the internet, attracted me. It depicts a family at Christmas, however, the family is in fact the presents. The gifts under the Christmas tree are wrapped in children. Morbid, indeed. Twisted, indeed. Beautiful, creative, imaginative, most definitely. This particular print emphasizes his sense of creativity and willingness to push past traditional art which is what I idolize most.
